Halloween may be over but we’ve got a dark and creepy art exhibit with local artists Andrew Scully and Karissa Sakumoto this November First Thursday. Andrew is a graduate from the IPRC comics certificate program and has published multiple comics through Snakebomb Comix and his own imprint Ratspike. This First Thursday we will celebrate the release of his latest comic, INHUMAN CONDITION, a post apocalyptic tale of mutants and survival.

Karissa Sakumoto is one of my favorite comics makers and this show will be a great opportunity to grab her new sketchbook collection, SCORPION JELLY. Check out more of her awesome comics here and her distro site RUDE COMICS. What else… she loves Ernest Goes To Jail, but who doesn’t amirite?

Floating World is also proud to publish a new comic by Steve Aylett, JOHNNY VIABLE AND HIS TERSE FRIENDS. Fans of our first publication THE CATERER will find plenty to enjoy in this hilarious follow up. A couple of these strips were first published in Alan Moore’s Dodgem Logic, but this 64 page issue is filled with new stories and tales of concern across varied terrain.

“The most original and most consciousness-altering living writer in the English language, not to mention one of the funniest” – Alan Moore
