Aug. 6th – NUTS & BOLTS – The Artwork of Robopocalypse and Teenage Dinosaur

Nuts & Bolts is an art show curated by two smaller Portland publishers that are deserving of more recognition.  Robopocalypse is a collective of zine makers that have been self publishing and collaborating on anthologies since 2007.  Teenage Dinosaur is an independent publisher run by Tim Goodyear.  For this show he is curating work by Ian Sundahl and Dylan Williams, who also runs Sparkplug Comics.

Plus: Jamie Rich & Joelle Jones will be present to sign copies of their new graphic novel from Oni Press: YOU HAVE KILLED ME

BIO INFORMATION:

The Robopocalypse Comics Collective is a nine member group of artists which formed in Portland, OR in 2007. Each member self-publishes his or her own comics and zines in addition to participating in group projects and anthologies. The group’s newest book, /Operation: R.O.B.O. Rescue/, is a 26-page coloring book featuring the adventures of a small group of kids and their brave efforts to defeat a group of evil robots with world domination on their processing circuits. /Operation: R.O.B.O. Teenage Dinosaur is a local indy publisher that has published books by Matt Furie, Dash Shaw, and Bobby Madness.  They just released their latest anthology ‘Class of Skookum High’.  Teenage Dino will present art by Ian Sundahl and Dylan Williams (Sparkplug Comics).

Joelle Jones & Jamie S. Rich first collaborated on the acclaimed comic book ’12 Reasons Why I Love Her’, and have since shown up as a team in the pages of Popgun, Portland Noir, and Madman Atomic Comics.
