Praise for Gum2

GUM publishers and art directors Kevin Grady and Colin Metcalf have created something new and different to readers. “We wanted to break the paradigm and hopefully provide something unique that communicates both individuality and respect to an underserved and overlooked audience – a culturally aware and curious set, aged 18-45, students and professionals in the creative realms of design, broadcast, film, advertising, and so on.”

Each issue comes wrapped in its own specially designed package. The first issue (sold out) came in a foil pack like a pack of Topps trading cards and included stickers and, of course, gum.

The latest issue features a tribute to Mr. Rogers (Fred Was Here), Ray Bradbury, Espo on Dalek, Rudy Vanderlans, MK12, Nonconceptual, Chris Yormick, and Nigel Planer. The activity book is a music special with Nancy Sinatra, Cornelius, Cherrywine, Interpol, Tim “Love” Lee, and RJD2. The box comes with a built-in gumball dispenser!
