April 6 – VULNERABILITY IS MY SUPERPOWER live virtual event with Jackie Davis

PREORDER Vulnerability Is My Superpower to receive a bookplate signed by Jackie Davis and an invite to the virtual release party on Tuesday April 6, 6pm PST.

By being her anxious, honest, and just plain silly self, Jackie Davis’ potato-shaped character proves that, even though opening up to others is scary at first, vulnerability can be a superpower.

Vulnerability Is My Superpower features Jackie Davis’s relatable diary comics about self-discovery, mental health, relationships, and childhood. From bouts with anxiety and insecurity to the thrill of simple pleasures like secretly trying other people’s coats on at a party, she’s figuring things out as she goes along, navigating domestic life with her husband, Pat (aka “the Purple Guy”), and sharing her most embarrassing thoughts and habits so you don’t have to.

Like a soft plushie for your brain to hug, this collection is for anyone who struggles with self-confidence or just likes to scrutinize the curious workings of relationships, routine, and why we do the things we do.

Jackie E. Davis lives and works in a cozy one-bedroom apartment (heat’s included!) in Rochester, New York, with an assortment of house plant pals, plush toy companions, and one human husband, Pat. He’s the tired purple character and a kindred artistic spirit. Jackie enjoys personifying objects, meeting new people, breathing in the smell of the woods, and making large quantities of food to eat all week so she has more time to play in her sketchbook.
