Oct. 1 – Book signing with Sammy Harkham, Kevin Huizenga and Zak Sally

Join us Sunday, October 1st for a special book signing with Sammy Harkham, Kevin Huizenga and Zak Sally! Each artist will be celebrating the release of their newest book –

Blood Of The Virgin by Sammy Harkham

Set primarily in Los Angeles in 1971, Blood of the Virgin is the story of twenty‑seven‑year‑old Seymour, an Iraqi Jewish immigrant film editor who works for an exploitation film production company. Sammy Harkham brings us into the underbelly of Los Angeles during a crucial evolutionary moment in the industry from the last wheeze of the studio system to the rise of independent filmmaking.

Fielder #2 by Kevin Huizenga

New short comics by Kevin Huizenga. “Fielder, Michiana” the sequel to The River at Night, as well as the fake autobio of “The Body of Work Keeps the Score” as well as Glenn Ganges in a World War I comic: “All the Hills and Vales Along.”

Sammy The Mouse Book 3 by Zak Sally

It’s been 10 years (!!!) since the last installment, but here we are. 56 pages on glorious, crappy old newsprint. IT’S A COMIC BOOK, DAMN IT. Cavort with the gang again as they yell, stare, fall on their faces in the dirt, and attempt to resolve long-simmering unknowable conundrums. JUST LIKE REAL LIFE. Will this thing get done by the 20 year mark? Who knows, and who cares; maybe this thing will make you laugh, or cry. You may not love it, but rest assured, it loves YOU.
