I want to begin by giving a big thanks to all my regulars and all the new friends that I’ve met in the past 6 or 7 months. It seems like I’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember when in fact a lot has happened in just half a year. This is like the Lake Tahoe of bookstores. On one hand, a comic store doesn’t mean nothin, but on the other hand IT’S THE COOLEST THING IN THE @..(*$& WORLD.

For this month’s 1ST THURSDAY show, things come around full circle when Evan Meister returns to FLOATING WORLD with an all new art installation. It’s the best thing to happen to wall since Pink Floyd. His vibrant vibes really tied things up nicely at the old shop, so it’s a true honor to have him return and give image to the new store as well. It’s a family affair, as Evan’s brother, Jordan, will also be bringing up new art from Eugene.

Joining the Meisters is Jake Hollomon da MICRON HERO. Check out his myspace and flickr accts for art and travel essays from a recent visit to Japan! They are fascinating.

My good friend, DJ STEREOFACE is gonna merge Miles and Villalobos and – YOU with the ONE. So I guess we’ll see you there in that place!
