For March’s 1st Thursday show we’ve got three local artists lined up to explore mind, booty, and soul.

Theo Ellsworth is the creator of Capacity, a gorgeously drawn self-published comic about the inner worlds and mythologies that exist within us. Theo’s latest show is titled, “Minnow”. Marvel at the intricately detailed cityscapes and visionary hot maps Theo will have on display. Theo has also been drawing laboriously at his new studio gallery, The Pony Club, to prepare a new book that will debut at our show.

Awesome but true! Sean Christensen will be displaying works from a new series designed especially for our show. It’s not an official title, but “Girls With Synthesizers” is an accurate description. We’ll have sonics for your eyes and ears as our friend, Gejius will be performing live electronic music around 8 pm. He has a couple new tracks based on Sean’s paintings and will also play songs off his first cd, Black Eyes.

Abe Nelson will present a woodblock print tarot deck (major arcana) that he designed and carved. Read about the entire process here. By popular demand, Abe will also be bringing some new art that was inspired by copying the intricate designs on the dollar bill by hand.
