French artist Anne Pomel decided it was time to live somewhere else.
A friend of hers invited her to Portland, not thinking she would really make the move. She didn’t know anything about Portland. She heard it had a good music scene. She didn’t even know about the rain.

This book is about her first few weeks living in a new city, getting lost in places that are so familiar now. Anne’s beautiful artwork brings the city to life, through the eyes of a curious and spontaneous spirit.

Anne studied fashion design at Studio Berçat in Paris and has a degree in Graphic Design. Before The Rain is her first book.
